Fault Description
Engine cooling system, reduced power operation: detected coolant loss caused by the coolant pump.
Fault Cause Analysis
The diagnostic system monitors the coolant pump status. If ‘operation without lubrication’ is detected, this fault will be identified.
Fault Troubleshooting Method (in sequence)
- Check the coolant reservoir level. If the level is low, inspect the cooling circuit for leaks.
- Perform air bleeding on the cooling circulation system to eliminate air that may cause the water pump to run dry.
- Replace with the same model water pump.
